You need batteries

The device requires 2xAG12 batteries. Each battery manufacturer uses a different numbering system for coin cell batteries. AG12 corresponds to these numbers: 301, 386, L1142, LR1142, LR43. A well-stocked hardware store or electronics store has them in stock. The instructions also state that AG12 is a lithium cell. No, that is not so. AG12 and all of its equivalents listed above are alkaline elements. Apart from the missing batteries I am satisfied with the product.

Accurate and easy to use!

This scale is perfect for my Thorens TD146. I use two different tonearms with Dynavector and Grado cartridges, which differ significantly in weight, so I have to adjust the stylus pressure every time I change them. It's very easy to use. It measures needle pressure with high accuracy. The price is good. I'm very satisfied and would recommend it to any audiophile who needs very specific settings for a high quality turntable. I wish we had something like this in the "old days" before digital…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • I will add later

In order to reduce the cost by 25 cents, the manufacturer of this "product" has decided to dispense with the two tiny watch batteries required for operation. Imagine my disappointment when I received this package only to find that it required batteries which I didn't have. Imagine my indignation as I searched in vain one, two, three different shops nearby for the 'Ag12' size batteries I need, which don't seem to be available anywhere except at Revain, where the minimum purchase is almost the…

KEEP YOUR WEIGHT ON!

The device is of good quality and at an amazing price! It is easy to use and calibrate. The readings are large and easily visible. Nice case and batteries. The YOSOO seller also shipped quickly. It's the same product that many "audiophile bullies" on the internet (you know who you are) sell for five times the price. It amazes me how they can still be in business and resell the same product at an inflated price and then magically be "Audiophile Approved". The Chinese have completely changed the…

Easy to use and accurate for setting platter downforce

Definitely makes it easier to accurately and accurately balance platter arms than static balancers (like the venerable old Shure model) or the less precise static zeroing method than weight conversion to number systems . Easy to use! This is the cheapest digital scale I could find and is identical in looks and accuracy specs to the much more expensive model sold with the brand name printed on it at an online audio retailer. They are identical to the scales I bought at this big auction a few…

Nice surprise, works great!

I recently found in a closet my 80's Dual CS-500 with a Shure V15 VMR cartridge. Miraculously it still works, but I was just guessing at downforce as I couldn't find the little seesaw-like device I last used to make this adjustment. I decided to spend $10 and buy a new one and was surprised to find a digital scale in this price range. The scale arrived perfectly calibrated to weigh 5 grams. Scales only weigh up to 5 grams and this is normal. Turns out my downforce was set at 3.5g (too much) and

Batteries are not included!

Warning! Unlike almost 90% of all other scales that look the same as here at Revain, this is the only one I see without batteries. So don't make the mistake of thinking that you're saving a few bucks on the same product by not buying Revain endorsed deals like I did. Because once you understand that it doesn't come with batteries and that it uses special tiny CR 301/382 batteries, which I think from RiteAid/CVS can cost $5 each (this unit requires two!), you save a few dollars. , quickly turns…

Easy to use and accurate for adjusting the platter's down pressure

Definitely makes it easier to balance the platter arm accurately and accurately than static balancers (like the venerable old Shure model) or less accurate statics to use libra zero libra procedures than the translation of weight into number bases. Easy to use! This is the cheapest digital scale I could find and is identical in looks and accuracy to the much more expensive model sold through an online retailer with the brand name printed on it.
