Thanks to its low price, this is a reliable tool that requires no adjustment and is ready to use. Intuitively I put a drop of WD-40 on the stones before use which was quickly absorbed because the stones are porous but will dry completely so you need to oil them liberally before honing and oil each cylinder, while you work. This grinder worked great. I've honed four cylinders with it and the last cylinder worked just as well as the first. I'm not sure how long it will take, but if you only need to make a couple of motors, it's worth buying. This is not high speed grinding.
