Great tool right out of the box.

Thanks to its low price, this is a reliable tool that requires no adjustment and is ready to use. Intuitively I put a drop of WD-40 on the stones before use which was quickly absorbed because the stones are porous but will dry completely so you need to oil them liberally before honing and oil each cylinder, while you work. Process. Easy to use and gives great results with a simple hand drill.

Pros
  • Flex Hones
Cons
  • Socket required

Great tonic for the money!

This grinder worked great. I've honed four cylinders with it and the last cylinder worked just as well as the first. I'm not sure how long it will take, but if you only need to make a couple of motors, it's worth buying. This is not high speed grinding. I believe that's why some people have trouble making sharpening a part. I have a cordless drill with a speed of approx. 150 rpm, this resulted in excellent cylinder surfaces.

Pros
  • Laps & Hones
Cons
  • Crumpled

worked but I used it to sharpen a 4 cylinder bike and before I could fully sharpen the last cylinder one stone was worn down to the metal, one was half worn and the other was nearly full . Since then it hasn't worked as I haven't put more pressure on a side or anything. Good for one-time use, but not likely. If you've sharpened a single barrel or maybe a double barrel and don't think you'd ever use it again then I would recommend it. If you plan to hone multiple cylinders or more than one twin…
