I used this little bearing puller on my Bosch table saw motor which was experiencing bearing failure after years of hard use. It's a fairly adjustable, sturdy little puller and it did its job. Highly recommended.

8" refers to the HEIGHT of the puller, its maximum reach is 3" in diameter. Looks well built but obviously trying to remove the 6" pulley didn't work. So I had to go back if. If you remove the bearing from the shaft or something it will be perfect.

You will need shorter side bolts to remove the motor mounts. The screws provided are for large bearings, probably 2-4 inches. For a smaller stock just go to Lowes or anywhere that has a good selection of screws and I have 2" and 2.5" each.

Bought this and other small two arm pullers to remove motor couplings from small vacuum pumps. The couplers are in a recessed pocket with a 5/16 inch gap. Bad design, but what to do. Buy these pullers and grind the jaws to fit. They appear to be made of forged steel and have a very strong pulling power.

Ordered this puller to replace bearings on a pump motor. The impeller end requires a puller with a 5.5 inch reach. This puller is advertised as 6 inches, but it's not big enough. This is a well made tool and worked fine on the short end, but I'll have to order a larger one to complete the job. I guess the Chinese don't know how big an inch is. Or maybe Revain sent the wrong size.

This puller seems strong enough, but it has some serious problems that make it useless. Phillips screws are not fully threaded, making them unusable for small bearings. This can easily be remedied by swapping out shorter bolts or fully threaded bolts. The puller does not come with a hardened shell to accommodate the tip of the jacking screw. This alone renders it unusable unless the shaft has a central "dip" from machining (unlikely). I had to use a cup from another puller. The jacking screw…
