The bag said what I wanted (1/2" male tube to 3/8" pipe) but the fittings in the bag were actually 3/8" male thread 8 inch. tube to tube 1/4". Won't be returning as I will be using these fittings elsewhere but will definitely be ordering a replacement through another brand.

The threaded end should be pipe threads - they aren't and they fit too freely in the filter housing. Even with 10 wraps of high quality Teflon tape (designed for iron pipe and thicker than what comes in a reverse osmosis system) they are still too loose and leaking! I need fittings but they don't work!

Threading into female NPT threads will cause slow leaks. And it doesn't matter how tight or how much Teflon tape I use. I tightened them until they broke. The threads are not conical. 60psi only. No leaks at the end of the hose. The size I tried is 1/8" pipe to 1/4" pipe. I'm trying a different brand.

Needed a replacement for my ROES-50 water system (1st stage inlet which was screwed into the housing was damaged and leaking). You will need 1/4" on BOTH sides of the elbow and wrap teflon tape around the threads at least 3 times, but no problems so far! I am currently waiting for my tank to fill, will only update if there is a leak/other issues with it gives the elbow.

Used this to hook up a Watts RIL-10 [10" Inline GAC (Granulated Activated Carbon) Post Filter (560010)] but couldn't get watertightness to seal even with sealant (RectorSeal sealant T Plus 2). This was frustrating as I was spending a lot of time repeating things and hoping the leaks would stop. I will be returning this product as it does not work as intended.

The version I received did not have the blue clips shown in the product photos. Also, I tried 3 out of 5 and they all filtered through like a sieve. I went to a major hardware store and bought the same John Guest brand fitting (at a much higher price) and an alternative, no leaks. Same teflon tape.
