Drill size is best for Threaded Inserts

They worked great. A bolt hole was cut in the VW oil plate, drilled and this EZlock installed. All is well! A metric drill is probably your best bet, but if you only have Sae bits, 11/32" works great.

Pros
  • Fasteners
Cons
  • Working Speed

They worked great for my application 👌

This was the answer to my problem. A bolt in the crankcase broke on an ATV. I couldn't just work after drilling it through and trying unsuccessfully to unscrew the remaining threads. I started looking for solutions and found these little beauties! I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • thread lock inserts
Cons
  • are not reliable

saved my transmission!

I bought a used transmission from a junkyard that had a couple of oil pan bolts snapped off so I had to fix them because of a transmission oil leak. I started by buying a cheap spiral coil repair kit off ebay and tried that first. If you are thinking of buying the ebay kit yourself, do yourself a favor and don't! What started as a simple repair turned into a nightmare when the very tool meant to fix the threads destroyed more of them. Boy was I in a cucumber because now not only was the thread…

Pros
  • Threaded Inserts
Cons
  • Some nuances
