Medium works well for my Jack Russell Terrier Pug mix. We have used it for many years because it gets cold in winter and it has lasted a long time.

Had to buy a coat for one of our dogs who is an American Staffordshire Terrier, Boxer and German Shepherd mix. Zo didn't get a warm sheepskin coat from anyone, so he needs a fur coat when we camp in the mountains in cooler weather. It fits great, stays in place and looks great. The other 2 dogs are probably jealous but they have great Pyrenees fur so they go naked.

I love this jacket - soft fleece, bright colors and great reflective details. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because the size was a bit off for our dog. Probably more for a dog than a coat but M was too small and L was too big. I would have liked more customization options. We keep both and change them depending on what we're doing.

We got size XL for our German shepherd and it was great. His chest is now outgrown as he is 114lbs and is borderline with a 37 inch chest so we ordered size XXL. It's huge, especially around the neck. Simply gigantic. If there was a middle ground between them, that would be perfect. Great coat, good quality and thicker than most, only sizing is a bit difficult to find the right fit.

My dog, a 110 lb boxer mix, has been sick and can't handle the cold like he used to. I bought him an Xlarge size. This coat fits perfectly without the extra room, but an XXL size would be too big. This coat reminds me of a blanket but in a smaller size for dogs. It goes on like a horse blanket. It has straps that attach with Velcro under the belly and wrap around the chest (also secured with Velcro). They didn't regret it with Velco either, it's enough to put on a coat safely!
