🔧 RB-K70A Carburetor for Zama with Plug Review

Wanted to use an OEM Zama carburettor - quick and easy to fit. Finally started ECHO - it worked very poorly, spattering, knitting and clogging regardless of the setting.

Worked great! After buying a fake $15 Revain I couldn't get started. I gave up and ordered this one, after 5 minutes it's running like a top! Looks like an OEM part.

trimmer work. It started right after several months of problems. This carburetor is great and I would buy it again if the need arose. Installation took about five minutes and required only a Phillips screwdriver to remove two screws.

I wanted this carburetor so I had to buy a dalom kit for gaskets and other option parts. Everything worked fine, but it would be nice to be able to buy everything in one package. Like many others that are sold like Hutzl.

Echo used this carb on many different models. Unfortunately, this carburetor's fuel mixture is matched and not designed to be matched to your specific machine. Youtube has videos on how to drill out the plastic plug to access the high speed jet adjustment. Then you need a precision flathead screwdriver. My car ran poorly and got stuck until adjustment, after which it became Champion!

My Echo trimmer carburetor was leaking fuel. I thought it was either a gasket or one of the diaphragms. The dealer has a minimum of $100. Zama is the OE carburetor for this trimmer. $30 and 1/2 hour later and it's working like new. Then I found a $16 rebuild kit and rebuilt the old carburetor. Now it's easy to change next time. In hindsight, it turned out that the carburetor rebuild was so easy I just had to do it. But the price was too good to pass up.
