Good product for roofing nails

They are good for what they are intended for. I've rebuilt mine several times and none have broken. Easy to move and reuse in other areas.

Pros
  • Loads of positive emotions
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging

Not like they used to

Looks a little flimsy but they do what they're supposed to. Every now and then you have to change a pair, but that's not a problem. All local hardware stores have stopped selling.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • The price of a crazy piggy bank

Appears to break easily

Every time a deer walks through a fence, the plastic teeth holding the wire break. Simply tie to the plastic base. Cheap plastic, but I think so. Better than tearing wire from behind an electric fence.

Pros
  • One year probationary period
Cons
  • Negative present

Decent quality, best of the range Latches

Works great. Withstands accidental hammer blows, just snap off the extra protective plastic pad. You might consider getting something smaller than a 16.9 ounce Hammer. Securely attached to the fence, wire tension holds well.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Weight

We haven't found the best insulators yet

We have a stable and all pastures are surrounded by an electric fence (mostly wire, some adhesive tape). We have tried several brands and Zareba is the best and most durable. The length is just right too. I seriously doubt that you could do better, both functionally and cost-wise.

Pros
  • Fastening material
Cons
  • Somewhat wrinkled

Highly recommended best when choosing fasteners

I advise everyone to use them. . I'm building an indoor chicken coop with metal mesh around it. I've found that when using smaller insulators, there is sometimes arcing from the electrical wire to the hardware webbing (usually after rain). They don't cause this problem as they are long enough. It's the perfect size and works great.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • I will add later

Base product that works as expected.

Nothing special here. They have no frills but are sturdy and can be used at different angles. The nails are long enough to be used in corners. The nails are not weather proof at all and the rust you see in the picture comes after a few rains. Fence Combo Roll, 1320 ft (+328 ft FREE WHITE) and this activator (Fi-Shock EAC10A-FS Super 525 Energizer, 10 acres) to level about an acre with two strands.

Pros
  • nail set
Cons
  • boring packaging
