Description of Zeiss Ikon Biogon Leica M Mount

VIRTUALLY DISTORTION-FREE OPTICS: Dramatic perspectives and a view from extraordinary image angles - ZEISS lenses open up new composition possibilities. Distortion would disrupt the composition because straight lines, whose image does not go through the image center, would be reproduced with a curved shape. This annoying effect is accordingly and largely compensated through elaborate optical designs at all focal lengths. EXCELLENT IMAGE QUALITY: ZEISS lenses offer the highest possible standards in terms of performance, reliability and, of course, image quality. Quite simply, they are superior in every way. You can count on highly advanced flare control for crisp and brilliant images, and virtually zero geometric distortion, ensuring precise accuracy when reproducing shapes – especially useful when photographing products and architecture. EXCELLENT RESOLUTION AND HIGH CONTRAST: Richly saturated and vivid colours are a must in the creation of lasting impressions. However, stray light within an optical system leads to a lightening of the image that is particularly noticeable in the shadows. This reduces image contrast, with the result that exposures lack contrast and appear faded. To avoid this, ZEISS combines various specially developed technologies to reduce the undesirable effects of stray light. MINIMIZED FOCUS SHIFT: ZEISS T* ZM-mount lenses are specifically designed to minimize focus shift with aperture changes – an important innovation with big benefits for rangefinder photography. As a result, you can expect improved accuracy of the rangefinder-defined focus while the precise 10-blade aperture with 1/3 stop interval click stops ensures exact exposure.

Exceptional lens with some limitations

This lens is a true gem in terms of image quality. The sharpness and clarity of the photos truly showcase the skill and attention to detail Zeiss put into designing this lens. As a result of my tests, I determined that the color rendition is spot on and the bokeh is pleasing to the eye. However, the limited focus range can be a drawback for some photographers who need more flexibility in their shooting. Overall, a great investment for any Leica photographer looking for outstanding image…

Pros
  • Exceptional image quality, true colors, pleasing bokeh.
Cons
  • Focus range is limited.

Well Pleased best in Camera Lenses

I recently purchased this item and had some doubts about my ability to use it properly. I can honestly say that I am very satisfied with this lens and have taken pictures that are very detailed and show excellent colors. It's all as good as I've been told. I hope to enjoy using it for many years to come.

Incredible sharpness with no color cast

What's surprisingly good about the Zeiss 21mm ZM lens is its sharpness throughout the frame. It's really amazing to see how sharp you can get a picture. I can view my images pixel by pixel from my ME and see little to no distortion or distortion of detail. With the aperture wide open, this is even enough for taking pictures in available light. However, I would not reduce it to 1/25. However, it's worth noting that these lenses don't come with a 21mm viewfinder. Zeiss offers it for a…
