Description of 📷 Zenit MC-Helios #40-2 85mm f/1.5 Lens in Nikon Mount: High-Quality Optics for Nikon Cameras

Brand new from the Zenit KMZ factory with full warranty (not old stock)! Modern remake of the famous Helios lenses with modern coatings - this listing is for Nikon F mount but others are available. Has two seperate aperture rings - you set the minimum aperture with one and the other freely rotates between the min and max aperture to make for quick focusing and stop down action. Renders with loads of character and beautiful soft swirly bokeh that start as circles in the center and become ovoid at the edges. Finely crafted, from all metal and glass, no plastic lens made in Russia at the historic Kransnogorsky plant. Perfect tool for creative and artistic photography.

Excellent product, the best quality.

The perfect creative portraiture. Every photo is amazing! Photos from it: . Ucoz.Ru/photo/fotografii/ms_gelios_40_2/6 I thought that I did not shoot before the appearance of Nikkor's fifty dollars, and now I think - before the appearance of Helios. Yes, and a report with due skill cancommpletely shoot. Some pros: A magical soft bewitching picture at an open aperture, interesting twisted bokeh, reliable design, good build quality. Chromatite, it seems, is less than Nikkor 85. Cons: He does not…

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

Incredibly magic glass with all the minuses, Zeiss has analogues, but expensive ascomgnac. I have a story like this, I had a G40 m39, I shot it for acomuple of years. then I sold it twice as much as I bought it, then I bought 85 / 1,4 Nikkor, and then I bought a new version with a bayonet mount, with infinity and a soap-magic picture, as before) I recommend in general!

Pros
  • Drawing! Boke at 1.5-2.0)
Cons
  • Soap and "unchecked" (but this, in the end, is its peculiarity, its dignity)

Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

The lens is very different from modern digital ones, it makes it possible for creativity. It focuses without problems even on the crop, although the picture differs from the full frame and has its own specifics. In good lighting, you can focus without problems using optics, in poor lighting, the screen and zoom help. Photo examples: ? from=my%2Fphotos ? from=%2Fmy%2Fphotos%2F

Pros
  • Soft, artistic pattern, lens quality
Cons
  • No hood included

Artistic fast prime lens with manual focus for those who want to get confused. Suitable for macro, and for portraits, and for landscapes (but still mostly for portraits). Before buying, it makes sense to rent for a couple of days and play around with a similar lens. Has some pros: Aperture F1.5. The minimum focusing distance is less than a meter. The version with the letter "H" in the name has a native shank for the Nikon F mount, fits normally without an adapter and does not require an…

Works great with nikon d3300 as an art lens narrow compressed space is both a plus and a minus - here to each his own, it suits me perfectly as an amateur I won’t teach professionals to shoot and tell them what I personally think is right, since I’m just an amateur I’ll say on my own that you need to “shoot” with manual optics and everything will turn out right away I set the parameters before the target trip or photo shoot in advance, if I want to catch something alive and fast in the…

Pros
  • beautiful drawing comfortable focus ring travel Metal, glass and the old price of 17.500 :) Without adapters, suitable for Nikon in the case of the letter "H" chic bokeee.
Cons
  • Tolerances and landings, although tolerable, but you need to carefully examine the purchase, try it on your device in the store I want to separately note: my copy CLOSES correctly, without problems

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

I think it makes no sense to dwell on the shortcomings of Helios 40, with the result that he is able to give out in the hands of a professional. They write, I saw it, it’s nonsense that like the new version twists the bokeh weakly or badly - learn to select the background and background, the distance from the object to the background is very important! Bokeh is just gorgeous if done right. There is no difference with the Soviet editions. And the contrast is even better due to more modern…

Pros
  • 1) Classics, with soul! 2) The famous swirling bokeh, different pattern and bokeh on all apertures, incredible artistry. potential. Incredible plasticity and softness, airiness 3) A very low level of chromatic aberration in its purest form for such aperture. The drawing of Helios is a combination of a strong "spheric" and spherochromatism 4) In terms of sharpness at f8-f16 apertures, it digs in many dark plastic popular telezooms. Uniformly uniform pattern over the entire field of the FF camera. In this mode, it works great for landscape, subject and even macro 5) Small MDF - focuses close enough, especially on crop
Cons
  • 1) Sovietness, weight, morally and mechanically ancient and inconvenient design 2) Long-stroke helicoid in combination with weight, infuriates, up to muscle spasms in the hands 3) Bad contrast 4) Does not hold backlight on open holes, catches side light in the form of hares and whitish spots 5) The price in the store - until 2022, when I bought it, the price was too high, but tolerable, now even on the secondary is insane, I generally keep quiet about the new version 6) Traditionally weakly unstable quality (I got 14 years old especially successful, impeccable)

I get the best results when focusing in life view, with an increase in the eyes - if you need a guarantee, then it's better to shoot that way, a very narrow flu. Some pros: Delightful unusual bokeh, soft and pleasant pattern for 1.5 of analogues at the price of only samyang, but I didn’t like the quality there, if we consider new glasses. Focus confirmation and exposure metering are not perfect but work on the d610. Cons below: I knew what I was buying this glass for, everything is expected…
