Description of 🦎 Zilla Incandescent Terrarium Spot Bulb: Optimal Heat and Lighting for Your Reptile Habitat

Provides more focused ambient heat without disruptive visual light. Gentle glow produces little visual light for nocturnal habitats and shy species. Love this for a ball python, useful heat source

Great 24 hour warmth for my ball python. It emits so little visible light that I often forget it emits any light at all. I recently learned on the forums that incandescent bulbs offer a more balanced UV light than CHE or other non-incandescent light sources. So I also rested very happily knowing that this is the healthiest heat source for my ball python and emits almost no light.

What a rip off! for light bulbs

If I didn't have to give a star, I wouldn't. The first one I bought blew up after a few months. The last one I bought blew up after a couple of weeks! I will never buy a Zilla product again as I bought one of their water bowls just days after receiving the last light and it leaked. A product may turn out to be an accident, but it's clear that this is a company that makes inferior products and charges a lot more than they're worth.

  • Easy to use

Toasty - BIRDS dig it

I am using this over the corner of my parrot cage in a 5.5" lamp with a fluker clamp. I hung/clamped it probably 5-6 inches from the top of the cage. and the bird perch is about 4 inches below the top of the cage. So I'd say 10 inches or more - not less - is a comfortable distance from your feathered friends. It emits a soft purple-blue glow. I turn it off during the day to prolong its lifespan as my birds are out of the cage all day before bed.

Is working. for about two months

When it works it's a great lamp that gives my python lots of light and warmth. The problem is that it doesn't work. For a long time. I typically get two months off these bulbs, although I've tried different domes to find the best long-term solution. If you buy this don't expect it to last long and be prepared for it to just die by accident. Not only does it die when switched on, but also in the middle of use. Checked many times, not once. So strange.

Pros
  • High tenacity filaments provide hours of use
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Poorly done, but sadly one of the only options.

These lamps are extremely unreliable and poorly made. Unfortunately, this is the only available lightbulb I could find to properly heat my terrarium. I've ordered at least 8 of these bulbs in the last 6 months, they will surely burn out within a month or two, with most of them either dead on arrival or burning out within a few days. Luckily, Revain's excellent customer service usually replaces these faulty bulbs free of charge, but they're quite difficult to come across on a regular basis. I…

Pros
  • Provides more concentrated ambient heat without disturbing visual illumination
Cons
  • No automatic

Works, won't burn out in bulbs

I love these Night Black Heat bulbs. I think I'm very lucky I've been using them for the last 1.5 years as I've never had a dead one. That's right, I only bought about 5 pieces. The reason I only bought 5 of these is because they last a while. This is my first time using 150w and I've had it for about 5 days now. It's strong and not burned out yet. I'll report later to see how long it lasts. Now I use this for 20 gallons to heat my aquarium for my ball python. It heats the hot side to 88F (air…
