Working. It's easy to read. Overall, this is an exceptionally cheap plastic item, by which I mean McDonald's Happy Meal toys are far superior in quality. The face was even worn in the factory packaging. Does what it's supposed to, but too expensive!

If you know anything about Zoo Meds products, you know that they are good products to buy, not the best, just good. In the case of their hydro monitors and thermometers, if they're not digital, don't use them. This little guy averaged +/- 5-10 degrees. These are cheap pieces of junk that should not be sold due to their inaccuracy. Use a digital thermometer and you will be much happier with your purchase.

I bought this for my red-eared slider over the aquarium bathing area. The thermometer is accurate and easy to read. it seems pretty solid. Velcro on the back is great! this facilitates removal for tank cleaning. My only complaint (not even a complaint, more of a compliance) is that the needle vibrates when the thermometer is hit and takes about 30 seconds to stabilize. Not a big deal, but annoying when you're in a hurry.
