Good upgrade on an old canister filter

This was a recent upgrade for my TC-32. Setup was easy. Contains 2 charcoal bags, 2 sponges and ceramic rings. Make sure you cut the hoses to the correct length or they will bend and shrink causing pressure issues when exiting.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Mostly fine but...

Something that really works!

This filter works really well I use it in my 55 gallon aquarium for my red-eared turtle. I've checked it every few days and it still doesn't need cleaning! Good product. Delivered quickly and in good condition when I received it. I had it for about a month

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Works well and keeps tank clean

Zoo Med Turtle Clean external filter works well and keeps our 75 gallon RES tank clean. It's pretty easy to install and maintain. My husband does a full water change every week, not a partial water change as certain websites suggest. This doesn't affect the quality of the filter, it's just an adjustment. At first the filter seemed expensive, but it turned out to be worth the money.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

I want to invest in the best brand. The first came broken and had a .

I wish I had invested in a better brand. The first one broke and had to be replaced. The second works, but the tank is dirty. That's 55 gallons with a 4-5 inch turtle. I thought that was more than enough. Gathering was also quite difficult. I am very unhappy with how dirty the tank has gotten after using it for about a month and changing water regularly.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some flaws

The packaging was fine. I went to YouTube and watched the video.

Received this tank today. I received the delivery the next day and it arrived on time. The packaging was fine. I went to YouTube and watched a video on how to assemble it. Then I laid everything out and played the video again, pausing step by step as I completed each task. I have a 55 gallon tank with about 25 gallons for my new turtle. Within an hour the tank was so clean! It's a very quiet filter, VERY quiet. I can't even hear it, all I hear is running water. This is very important to me as…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Filter is ok. The reason I'm rating it 2 stars is because the 75 gallon tank capacity is wrong. Like other Turtle Clean models, I would say this filter should be half the price. It's worked 3 years in a row with no issues, but it's just not strong enough to keep up with the times. I had to use another 75 gallon filter alongside it to keep my tank clean. I like the low price, but that means you don't get the pretty nice features that more expensive filters have. This down filter does not contain

excellent filter with a number

The filter is easy (if a bit tricky) to set up. It was difficult and a little confusing to learn how to remove just part of the connecting tube and not remove the entire cover for cleaning. It can be a bit tricky to start, but there is a lid in the filter cap that you can open and fill with water. The hose can bend (it's a rubber hose) and block the flow, which is frustrating and restricts the placement of your filter. All of this can eventually be settled. The only feature that really let me…
