🌿 Enhance Your Terrarium with the Zoo Med Naturalistic Terrarium Hood Review

Perfect for my terrarium. The lighting is bright but doesn't look that bright during the day, but critters don't need to be under spotlights. Looks very nice from above instead of looking at bulbs and wires for traditional heat lamps and lanterns.

My red-bellied turtle loves to sunbathe in the blue daylight! I just received it today and it looks great! Let's see how it holds up over time. The top seems really hot with 60W of blue daylight. Hopefully the plastic doesn't melt all day.

. I bought this for my 10 gallon corn snake terrarium and I LOVE the dual switch feature. I have a bright daylight and a blue light for night vision and it looks amazing. The metal back wall keeps the heat in the terrarium (I had to work with moisture in the aquarium as it dried out a bit from the heat of the light). The purchase is definitely worth it.

I have a slider with red ears and bought this product because it has two sockets for two different bulbs. One slot contains a Zoo Med ReptiSun® 5.0 compact fluorescent lamp and the other slot contains a 60W Zoo Med Red Reptile Night Light. There are two switches on the back of the hood that can be used to turn each lightbulb on and off individually. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase, although I don't think I'll be as happy as my turtle.

I bought this to replace 2 dome lights I had over my leopard gecko tank. Her aquarium is on outdoor display and to be honest I've always found the ceiling lights in my house to be sloppy and garish. I decided to treat myself to this terrarium light and it looks much prettier and neater. It's slim and I love that each bulb has its own switch. Nobody in town could even come close to matching the deal I made with Revane.

I just bought an Exo-Terrarium, approx 30 gallons, 18x18x24. And together with him I bought the recommended range hood, which I did not need because of a switch for two light bulbs, day and night. So it's all or nothing. I returned it and bought one from Zoo Med and while it doesn't quite fit, it fits great, looks good and has TWO switches. very nice hood. What makes the Zoo Med better than similar models (Exo Terra) are the 2 switches on this one. So you can turn on both bulbs or just one or the other right from the hood. Similar ones (Exo Terra) only have 1 switch that turns on both outlets. Weak. (I don't hate Exo Terra, I have an Exo Terra 18x18x24 terrarium and like the double doors better than the single door Zoo Med 18x18x24. I also like their bamboo feeding tongs.) So anyway, if you don't love terrariums, I would recommend

I bought this hood for my new Bioactive Crested Gecko aquarium and it still works great. I set it on a timer (sold separately) to turn it on at 8am and off at 7pm. The hood sits right in the middle on its tank (18 x 18 x 24), allowing all plants to grow towards it and not at an angle.
