Supplied in sticky liquid

The product is supplied in a plastic bag covered with purple liquid. I tried just washing it off, thinking maybe the bottle had spilled something during the trip, but when I washed it off, the label started rubbing off. I've looked at the bottle and it doesn't look like there was any liquid in it, so I'm worried it's coated with an unsafe chemical. I'm too worried to use it on my lizard because the liquid that was on it seems aggressive. I don't know how well the product works but I know I'm…

It works, but there are some inconveniences.

I have been using this water conditioner for many years - from time to time. I believe it works as advertised, but there are two main reasons I'm only giving it three stars: 1. The water in the tank turns light blue. Yes, this happens even when using the recommended amount of conditioner per gallon of water.2. Being able to squeeze liquid out of the cap is really useful once you figure out how long to pour to get the right amount of conditioner. While this feature is handy, it often gets…

Leaky Bottles - Fish and Water

Recently purchased two drinking water bottles for my crested geckos. The product itself is good. Unfortunately the packaging could have been better. Both bottles were individually wrapped in a thin plastic bag and packed loose in a much larger mailing envelope. They must have turned around during shipping which caused the lids to come off and both poured a large amount of product into plastic bags that were not fully sealed causing it to spill into the envelope. Luckily I opened and flipped the

We think this is a must have for Red-Eared Slider tanks!

We have 2 tanks and we use these in both. Every time we change water or add water, we take a blue bottle! We have found several benefits of using ReptiSafe.1 - We use filters that create a waterfall and splashes can leave hard water stains on the tank walls. The sides of the tanks were so full of watermarks that we couldn't see our turtles unless we looked over the top of the tank. We've found that there aren't many spots since we started doing this almost a year ago. 2 - Water stains are very…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • I will be silent

For what this product does, it's great and does it well. If I were the director of a reptile rescue and recommending a dechlorinator that removes both chlorine and chloramines from tap water I would recommend Repti-Safe as the best as I have done before and after strip testing and it does indeed reduce chlorine and chloramine levels . So if you are in an emergency and need to use reptile or amphibian tap water, then using a dechlorinator like the Zoo Med ReptiSafe is an absolute must. Giving…
