Helpful Hint: If the light is flashing during the timer (sunset/sunrise) you just need to take the timer's eye away from the light and it will stay on. I think what happened is that the light is so bright that when the light comes on the timer thinks it's still light so it goes off again. I turned my timer to the side and it works great! I love these lights. 50 feet was perfect for me to drape my balcony. They are beautiful and a good size. They are very beautiful when switched off during the day and give off a warm light at night. When the bulbs are pointed towards something (like my balcony and my siding) it creates a nice subtle rainbow color effect. Traditional string lights have a male end that fits into a socket and a female end that plugs into another string. Not these! They have two plug ends so you can plug in one end and get a very fun shock if you touch the other end when hit by 110v. There are 48 pieces per string and two spares on a separate 2 foot string.
