A very handy size for the kitchen and dining room

This small knife is a true workhorse for its size. I use them everywhere for everything from slicing food to slicing through cardboard. They hold a good edge and are easy to sharpen when needed. The sheath is comfortable and securely holds the knife without cutting your hand when digging in the knife box. a knife that is much more durable and handy than a small pocket knife.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Sophisticated model

Works comfortably!

I lost the paired knife I use at work for fruit which was different but it was ergonomically so uncomfortable to use. Thought I'd give it a try as the handle looked a lot bigger. Somehow I ordered two and I'm so glad I did! Now I have one for home and work. At home, this is my favorite knife for slicing small fruits (like apples). It fits perfectly in my hand. I like that it comes with a lid and cuts really well. I have no complaints. Great knife at a great price. Now I just have to see how…

This knife is great for us. My husband calls it my ginsu. I needed a good knife to cut the steaks. I have a good set of Calphalon knives but the steak knives didn't cut any of the steaks I was given with ease. So I bought a cheap set of picnic knives, but didn't like the short handles. So I found this one and unfortunately only bought one to give to my family at mealtimes. So I'm looking for more. 1 for each of us. The best paring knife I've ever seen. Thank you!

Glamping Item

I bought this for car camping because I don't like using a camping knife for cooking. So yes. That's not very flattering to me. But I'll ignore the haters and say this is a good chef's knife. It's "sharp enough" out of the blister pack and comes with a good quality sheath to prevent accidentally piercing my gear or myself. Green with black contrast is high enough that I can see it in less than ideal lighting or on the ground. It is not expensive. It is expedient. Very good for the price and…

Perfect travel knife

This knife is great despite being cheap. I have an expensive set of knives at home and wanted to bring one with a sheath. I keep a Pure Komachi chef's knife, a paring knife, and a smaller cutting board for when we travel and use rentals. My wife always carries a paring knife to cook dinner for the kids when they aren't home. I like the grip on this Zyliss much better. Komachi is slippery plastic, but this one is more rubbery. I use it mainly for peeling and slicing fruit for lunch at work or…

A poorly designed case can cause serious lacerations.

I like this knife as an ice tool in my lunch bag. It is very sharp, the blade is smooth and comes with a sheath. What I don't like is the narrow grip, designed for a small hand. The bowl is poorly designed. If you put your little finger in the hole in the sheath when removing it, you could cut yourself. Remember the blade is sharp. If it had a more elaborate body I would give it 4 stars. Because of the danger, every time you remove it, I only give it three stars. I recommend looking for another

Italian Food Approved

I purchased this knife as a travel knife as I am an avid camper and outdoorsman but it quickly ended up in my kitchen drawer. It has become my favorite for several reasons: 1) It has an incredibly sharp edge (I actually sharpened it when I got it. Knives are never as sharp as you buy them). a few pickles that my Italian mother uses for cooking and a side pocket of my backpack in case it rains. It has never rusted and works great in the dishwasher. It's a bit heavy for its small size, but the…

Good sharp paring knife

A few years ago one of our kids gave us a set of 3 of these knives for Christmas. We love them so much I recently bought three more. They are sharp and seem to hold their edge very well. They have plastic handles which means they can be washed in the dishwasher. When I saw that they came with plastic candles I was concerned how well they would last. In fact, they held up very well. I didn't think a blade sheath would be worth it. But my wife likes to take it with her when she visits one of our…
