Great shelf. Only briefly.

Great shelf for networking equipment etc. I'd like to see the front curve going up instead of down. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the curve at the front takes away from the overall height. That means if the equipment you need to attach is about 1U high, you need to leave 1U of free space above it. If you have a room this isn't a problem, but for those with space constraints it might be.

Pros
  • Some competitors
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great value 1U shelf

I bought 4 of these shelves for my rack and they work great. There is nothing special about them, they correspond to the description. Hardware, including cage nuts, was included. I would buy more of these in the future.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • It pisses me off

Big strong body.

I am using this unit in a vertical rack to store 4 Raspberry Pis and a switch. Holes allow for easy mounting of equipment as well as ventilation. Looks like a quality stand.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • unreliable

Great 6 inch rack shelf!

We bought this shelf to install a cable modem for a customer. When we received it we were happy to see that it is a complete 1U metal shelf with 4 screws. It has been vented to allow air to flow through the rack and cool the server and switches. The 6 inch depth was perfect for our needs. Put the modem and small NVR DVR together on the shelf. 1 star off the shelf for the packaging. It was too thin and this damaged the packaging, leaving obvious scratches on the surface. Didn't affect…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Sturdy, easy to install

This rack shelf is great - it holds a small amount of networking equipment that I couldn't fit on the shelf and was easy to install.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Works perfectly! Ideal for 9 inch racks and audio equipment.

This shelf if the middle shelf is above the red power buttons. 8" deep in my 9" deep wall mounted network rack. This rack is used to store and power my audio equipment. The length is perfect to leave room at the back for cable management with my SCHIIT gear. One of the ears was bent out of the box and I bent it back. Very happy with it. [I didn't use the old nuts that came with it. When needed they worked well]

Pros
  • Light and robust, high-quality workmanship and yet highly resilient up to 50 lbs.
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Good value for money.

I've used them several times to organize DirecTV receivers, audio amplifiers, UPSs, and cable TV receivers. For the price they are great. Very heavy for 1U size. I use 12" deep. In some setups I use them to hold the rack rails together to create a sort of EQ rack. It might sound weird, but it works in places like restaurants where you need to organize things. It's not Broadcast quality, or serious networking stuff, but for most of us, it's pretty nifty and has great value.

Pros
  • air vents. Each rack compartment contains a ventilation pattern to maximize airflow.
Cons
  • I don't remember
