It did work. It was easy to install, basically. It did not stay in position if I touched the shower head, though. It is useless because it moves way too much when I touch the shower head. The only problem with it is tha it moves and will not stay in position. The knuckles work great and are v ery sturdy. The problem is where it connects to the pipe coming out of the wall.

I bought this arm to replace the original shower arm on a wall unit shower. The original arm was quite long and was for a rain type head. By the time our new bathroom install was done the new shower floor was higher than the old one. I wanted to make sure the shower head was high enough, as I am about 6 feet tall. Well made and good quality. I liked the fact that the nut on the 4” extension that screws onto the original shower arm rotates freely apart from the 4” extension itself.

The extension was maybe a little small for my installation, but the fit and finish is very nice. If you have a smallish shower this would be ideal.

I could not get it to stand upright once attached. My shower ceiling is curved so I needed something that came out & up to attach my shower-head to. Everything seemed to work as expected until I got attached to the pipe in my shower and then it wouldn’t stand upright. I’d position the arm vertically, tighten everything and it promptly spun around & dropped out of position. I ended up returning it.

The Good: It's near impossible to find a short shower arm extender, so this might be your only option. This is great, and probably the only short extension arm you'll find (most are 8-10 inches). It has a ratchet-set mechanism to prevent slipping, which is effective. Don't buy anything without this feature because the weight of a heavy shower head will cause everything to sag down if it's just held up by screw tension. This one will not sag. This is a solid, well built item that comes with extra washers. It locks into a number of different configurations, so the idea is that you add it to your shower arm, and then it allows you to adjust for height, angle, etc. Perfect if your shower is too high or too low on the wall, or you want to move it closer to the center.

Shipping was fast and instructions was easy. Just installed so not sure about quality. Will see in the next some months.

There was a dearth of 4-inch adjustable shower heads mounts, but that's the size I wanted so I bought this arm. I like the length, but that's about it. The adjustments are wonky and this is not a continuously variable adjustment--you have to loosen the joints and move it from one notch to the next. The 4” length of this shower arm was exactly what I needed for my small shower. I’d bought a new shower head that took up more space than the old one and the standard 6” shower arm wasn’t going to allow enough room for my husband.I was very happy to find this solution at a great price and with very fast shipping. Quality seems good, no leaks from the start and installation was easy.

I really wanted this to work because I don't want a long extender and this one looks perfect. But the o rings that came with it are slightly too small and go into the pipe instead of resting on it like they're supposed to so water just goes around the o ring and comes out. O rings of the correct size would fix this easily. Also even when tightened the whole thing remains loose so your showerhead will move around. Not good.

I'm in my 70's, have always been self-sufficient when assembling or installing home items, This looks simple enough, but I still wasn't sure if I could tackle this. Have no fear shoppers, this was easy to assemble and has solved my showerhead issue of hanging too close to the wall, the 4" extension allows it to be adjusted to direct water straight down or more towards the back of the tub.

We have a tiny shower stall. Bought this to get better range for pointing the water at the walls for getting in and out. Works great. No leaks. No drips. Just awesome!

Great looking, easy to install and adjust, however in 3 months it sags the showerhead out of position and cannot be tighten to hold secure.

It was so hard finding an extension rod that wasn’t 10”, I was thrilled when I found this one. I am 5’10 and all I needed was a little extra height on the shower. I didn’t want a large rain shower, just a little extra height with a normal sized shower head. I was very happy with the quality, it is solid brass and stays in place. All you need is some plumbers tape and it works perfectly with no leaks.

Works as advertised, easy install and no leaks. Make sure rubber washers are properly seated by using a blunt object and wet it alittle, before installation. Tighten slowly so you know the washers will seat and seal properly.

This item was a total flop , it leaked from the first install. I tried reinstalling it a few time to see that would change the outcome , no such luck. I’m a 37 year journeymen carpenter and have a understanding on installing item such as these unfortunately it was a poorly made piece and I would not recommend it
