Not plug and play. Good for the body

I installed them on a 2004 F250 Crew Cab. There are holes on the truck that make installation a little easier, but you'll need to drill a few more holes in the truck and drill holes in the steps to install these baddies. Don't think for a second that these things are plug and play. However, if you're good with tools, this job isn't too difficult and is a bit fun. When the job is done, you'll wonder why it took you so long to get them for your truck! They look fantastic, they're strong, light…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Has problems

My wife can now get into the truck!

Before the steps were installed, it was very difficult for my wife to get into the cab for all the reasons you would expect from elderly people like us. The addition of steps reduced the distance she had to lift her foot by more than ten inches. Now she can do it without help, not that I don't mind helping. Installation wasn't exactly an easy task, although the process was simple. The problem was drilling the mounting holes. I don't know what steel is used in the Ford F-150, but it's definitely

Not designed for 2005 Toyota Tacomas

I haven't had a chance to fully experience the quality of the product but these badass steps look really good straight out of the box and feel very solid. After reading the product reviews further, I noticed that other customers had poor adhesion; Other customers report that the paint peeled off very easily from small road debris/tests. I was happy to have these steps set out, but unfortunately I should have done more research on my part: these steps may not be correct. Purchased on the frame…

Quality Steps, Garbage Hardware

Good first. The steps are very well made and easy to assemble. The steps are worth the cost paid. Now for the bad. As other reviewers point out, the included hardware is useless junk. The first screw was cut in half with some socket wrench strength. The head of the first metal Phillips screw broke off trying to tighten it. I immediately switched to the best gear I was lucky enough to have at home. My recommendations to others during installation. Only tighten the screws firmly. The slightest…

Worth the cost! on spare parts

Good steps. It took my dad and I less than two hours to pack them onto my farm truck (on ice and in the cold). I didn't need many tools but they didn't fit perfectly as my truck's previous owner had drilled a few holes in the metal so I had to drill in other places. If you've built a lot of things from kits, it really isn't rocket science. Good screws included. They're pretty sturdy for what they are and don't have much recoil. For the price they are worth it. I put them on so my 85 year old…

  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

DO NOT BUY! Even worse than the negative reviews.

Absolute rubbish. I haven't finished installing the first one but I'm so disappointed that I bought a quality product and terrible installation guide. Quality - not installed and already chipped. Small bubbles or cavities in the paint have already broken off and exposed bare metal. Installation becomes a nightmare. 4 holes have been drilled so far and I just got them to align side to side. The instructions say 8 1/8" between the holes, but they are 8 1/4" apart. How far you need to drill from…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Bought these for my 2008 Ford F150 crew. They fit well and this body style has the easiest installation (Type D, see the instructions and pictures). No adapters required. The rear two had to be mounted a little behind the end of the seat line, as recommended, since the cross members got in the way, but otherwise they fitted well. It took me about four hours to build the whole truck. A few notes. Don't worry about using the sheet metal screws that come with the hardware. It takes too much torque

Pros
  • Excellent construction
