Review on Armory Wallet by Praise Olagbadun

The Armory Wallet Is Armoured

The Armory Wallet is a cold, multi-signature and open source wallet that supports only Bitcoin. Only Bitcoin it is leaving the very numerous crypocurrencies out there. One can also see this advantageous as it provides the best of security available to secure the one and only cryptocurrency they support, Bitcoin. Every great companies started from the scratch and so is the Armory. It started operations since the year 2012 with Alan Reiner being the Mastermind behind the wallet. Due to the fact that it has been in operation for a long time now, it happens to be one of the first in the industry to have an active offline mode and amongst the oldest cold storage wallets for Bitcoin.
The fact that the wallet utilizes the cold storage type makes it an impenetrable place for hackers. But, the fact that the platform has stopped being active since the year 2016 is questionable. Ever since that time, the Customer support was left with the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). Although these FAQ answers almost if not all the questions users should have, it's not too comfortable to me. Help can also be gotten online from other users past experience.
The wallet makes it possible for users to make some purchases even when offline, leaving it as a very active one. The wallet is yet to have a mobile application and so is limited to only desktops and can be freely downloaded on almost any type of Operating system. Talking about it's user interface, I don't find it too attractive due to the fact that their customer service is not responsive at all but their applications has all things properly outlined that even newbies can freely use it. If your choice of specialization is Bitcoin only, then I think you should try the Armory Wallet but, if yours is a wide variety of cryptocurrencies, then it shouldn't be tried all cos Bitcoin is the one and only cryptocurrency it specializes in.

Pros
  • It uses a cold type of storage which has made it free from hacker's attacks
  • It is a HD type of wallet
  • It has a very active offline mode which is hard to come by. I even prefer the offline to online except that assistance can't be gotten offline
  • The wallet allows users to retain their private keys, leaving it on the PC used. This has made it impossible for scammers to gain access to it except when in physical contact with the PC used
Cons
  • The wallet doesn't allow for 2 Factor Authentication
  • Although it has desktop applications available, it is yet to have it mobile application for download
  • The set-up process is very cumbersome, I almost gave up in the process
  • Although their FAQs are very helpful, I still prefer human customer support

Hey Do u know what I actually mean by being armoured ?? I'm talking about it's security. The fact that it uses a cold storage means a high level of security. And about the rating, what's the difference between giving it two starts and three. If you think it isn't armoured enough, then it's your own problem and not mine 🤷🤷

Really?armored? With all this disadvantages??? I do not think so it has to much downsides I would have rated it 2 stars. The security would be a wack for it doesn't allow for 2-factor authentication
