I love all coinbase products. Coinbase was one of the first exchanges that I signed up for at the beginning of my crypto journey! I use the regular coinbase, coinbase pro, and coinbase wallet. Very easy interface for beginners to understand which I think is very important so you can make the correct decision and have it make sense. The coinbase wallet was my first exchange wallet. You can connect your wallet to your coinbase account and transfer funds in between for trading purposes. The only problem I have with the wallet is that you can transfer funds from your account to the wallet for free but when you want to transfer them back you will have to pay a gas fee because it uses the etherum blockchain. If you are transferring $100 + then $15-$30 gas fee is acceptable, but still way to high! I recently tried to send $30 USDC back to my coinbase account from the wallet and the gas fee was as much as I wanted to send, $34 for gas fee! That includes sending any funds from your wallet to another wallet or exchange using the ethereum blockchain. Unfortunately L1 coins have higher gas fees but as L2 coins and web 3 roll out hopefully the gas fees will go down. It’s still a reliable and secure wallet and these days that’s one of the most important aspects when holding your funds online.
