Review on Quppy Wallet by Danh Huỳnh Ngọc Công
It is urgent for Quppy to go advanced
Quppy wallet provides the very basic functions of a standard cryptocurrency wallet; however, there are a lot of things that make me give it only 1 star. The suspicious things about this wallet were listed in Cons section. I don't write this review to defame the product but I actually want to protect the community from the numerous scams in blockchain industry. If the wallet is legit, I hope it will improve their features and becomes more transparent to gain the trust from people. It will receive many 5 star reviews when the developers can deliver excellent updates.
Pros
- - It is easy for users to create a wallet on Quppy app. They just need to turn on the app and note down their mnemonic phrase to recover their wallet anytime
- - Users can perform the basic things for a wallet very easily. Storing, sending, and receiving cryptocurrencies are so simple to do
- - The application is available on both Android and iOS. It is very light and downloading it takes just a couple of minutes
- - It is possible for users to top up their wallet with a fiat currency - EUR.
- - There is an exchange inside the wallet which allow users to convert their Bitcoin to Litecoin and vice versa
- - There are eight languages available in its settings so it is convenient for users from many countries in the world
- - Balance can be shown in different fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies. Users can freely choose the favorite ones
- - Transaction fees can be adjusted in three most based on the desire of the users
Cons
- - They describe the wallet as a multicryptocurrencies wallet for a wide range of coins and tokens; however, there are only two available coins that can be stored: Litecoin and Bitcoin. Is this a misleading way of marketing?
- - Although they have an internal exchange in their wallet, the exchange can only be used to convert between Bitcoin and Litecoin.
- - On their website, Quppy wallet told that they have established partnership with many exchanges and projects but it is very suspicious that there is no connection between them. Exchanges usually store their funds in cold storage or well known wallets. This is another big point about their transparency and reliability
- - There are no information about any members of their team on their website. Only contacts for their exchange is available. Team members can be found on Linkedin actually; however, I don't think these are good enough
- - The wallet is close-sourced meaning that there is no way that we can check if it is really secure or not
- - Their logo is too simple and their website can be create in thin air. These points make me very worry about the nature of this wallet.
