The wallet was created in 2017 by StarStone Unlimited, a company based in Dunedin (NZ), founded by someone called Richard Holland.

StarStone has been operating since 2017, and the wallet is the only one to date. The slogan they designed when designing this product was to create something that was “enough for your mother but safe enough for a Swiss banker”.

If you install this version, your Toast wallet will be updated. The wallet is an open source and is available for several platforms such as PC / tablet (Windows, Linux, Mac OSX, browser) and mobile (Android, iOS). The group advises people with jail-broken iOS devices not to use their wallets, as it is very likely that the pirate will not behave normally in the software. It also advises people to upgrade their legal software to at least iOS 11 for normal operation. Computer binaries are built using an e-builder from the browser version of Toast Wallet; wallet creators show their openness by urging third-party analysts to browse the code and check for binaries. You can download your selection form from the official Toast Wallet website at https://toastwallet.com. Once you have downloaded the wallet, you will be given the choice of three options: create a new wallet, restore an existing XRP wallet, and perform an autonomous operation. For now, you can build your own XRP wallet by clicking the green Create New Wallet button. You will first be prompted to enter a 6-digit PIN number of your choice. The PIN serves as a privacy barrier that prevents unauthorized people (tell close friends or your child) from entering the contents of the wallet once it is fully created and filled with XRP. Once you have entered your PIN, the wallet prompts you to enter a password. This password will be used to encrypt your wallet, verify that XRP has been sent from the wallet, and to restore your Toast wallet account if you cannot access it for various reasons. Toast wallet is considered to be safe, as the community user reports seem generally positive. Some more tech-capable members looked into the code as well and found nothing of concern to report. Additionally, user data isn’t stored by the company behind the wallet, thus there’s no danger of them being hacked and exposing you.
