It works, but takes practice. I tried mixing the pigment with the wood putty, sealant and putty that came with it. This color is suitable for the next steps. I recommend mixing it on a white background. First mix the pigment to your desired color, be careful what you mix, wood filler has a yellow base, you need to adjust the color accordingly. So far I've used it on hardwood and the result has been decent.
