Ideal for portable field recorders

I've used regular Eneloop batteries in my Tascam field recorder and some other portable devices that require constant battery replacement. In my field recorder I found that regular alkaline batteries just lasted longer than rechargeable ones until I found these Eneloop Pro batteries. For some reason some devices report the current battery status less accurately when using rechargeable batteries, but not by much and this is the case with the Eneloop Pro. The accuracy of battery life reports has improved in my Tascam DR-40x, and the device (which is consuming battery life like crazy) has lasted noticeably longer, to the point where it's comparable to regular alkaline batteries. The official documentation for my device states that batteries without batteries last 2 hours longer than rechargeable ones. This was the case when using standard Eneloop batteries. With Pro, this difference is now negligible. I still use regular Eneloop in many devices because not everyone needs the Pro version and these batteries are by no means perfect. Normal Eneloop batteries are sufficient for wireless keyboards and trackpads. Actually anything that is stationary and doesn't need an emergency battery change when I'm out can use the regular ones. For mission-critical applications that are mobile, I have enough Eneloop Pro batteries to power these devices (to get the best battery life out of them), and I also keep a spare set in my briefcase, just in case. So the advantages are: - The battery life is the same as non-rechargeable batteries. Better accuracy when devices report battery capacity.
