Poor USB-C power delivery functionality

As a monitor, this display is pretty good. As a complete package designed to do all the things it claims to do, it failed. Pros: 1. Size - it's obvious why you chose this monitor2. Picture quality - for this type of panel the picture looked great3. Easy Installation - For its size, this monitor was very easy to assemble and set up. Cons: 1. USB-C powered - it sounded great but it didn't work. Whenever my Mac went to sleep, the power would turn off, wake up after 30 seconds, stop, and continue this cycle in an endless loop. Big mistake. I tested this on both a 2016 MacBook Pro and a 2021 MacBook Pro (both were Intel-based models). That ended the deal for me and prompted me to return the monitor.2. The stand really wasn't high enough. Monitor manufacturers need to understand that the display stand needs to be taller to be useful. Either make the stand optional (I usually use a desktop stand anyway) or make it tall enough to use with the laptop completely under the monitor, which is how it usually is. This monitor with AC adapter option seems geared towards laptop-based use, but this is a glaring omission of useful desktop organization with such a mobile computing platform.3. Multi-Input/KVM Support - The fact that this monitor can only use video from a single USB-C source is just silly. I have two Macs - work and home. Both use USB-C. Why don't you let me use two USB-C inputs? Instead, I have to use an adapter cable for one of the two computers, ALTHOUGH I then still have to connect that second computer to the second USB-C port solely for KVM. add features. So I might as well get a non-USB-C non-KVM monitor and keep using my existing USB switch! Which brings me to my final opinion... the 1800R's curvature is okay - definitely better than no curvature at all. But with usb-c and kvm it doesn't work, there was no point not going with the tighter curve of the 1000R Odyssey G9. Which I finally did. After testing and using both for 2 weeks I can honestly say that the 1000R is the better choice. In my opinion. But when you go down a corner, you go all the way. This might seem a bit odd at first, but you get used to it very quickly, and 1000r maintains perpendicular radial alignment much better than 1800r.

Pros
  • INCREASED CONCENTRATION AND COMFORT: 1800R curvature reduces eye fatigue; The curved screen allows you to see content at a glance and is proven to reduce eye strain compared to flat monitors.
Cons
  • Unattractive design
