Maybe the hair is thicker to stay in place a little better than OEM.
Not bad. Have fun resetting intake and then not falling out of intake. I applied a VERY VERY thin coat of sealant to keep it from falling out. A very THIN layer on top of the rubber pad. There is no gasket on the part of the gaskets that meets the head. No problems or leaks.
