The DROK buck converter could damage your equipment

This little device is quite simple in design, but it has critical flaws in the following areas: 1) Voltage and current regulation (by powering the Input while holding the SET button) does not always allow calibration. You may have to turn the device on and off several times before the SET and ENT buttons increase/decrease the voltage or current accordingly. 2) There is absolutely no way to adjust the output voltage. You read that right. The board *has* voltage and current potentiometers, but they do absolutely nothing for the output. 10-20 circles counterclockwise and the exit will not move. Only the input is controlled using the turn-on method mentioned above. The USB output is above 8V by default and this will damage most small 5V devices. Again, this cannot be adjusted with potentiometers or on-board calibration. I had no problem dropping the input voltage to match my Li-ion battery source. However, the output remains stable at just over 8V and cannot be changed. This is a critical design flaw that defeats the whole purpose of a buck converter in the first place. What surprises me is that they generally get positive reviews. How no one encountered problems with this device, I do not understand.
