Don't waste time

I have not been able to remove or press on a Wrangler pulley. Zero instructions and not standard at all with other sets. I ended up buying the kit from Harbor Freight for half what I paid for it and it worked great. Can I return this item?

  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Bad kit! in Tools and Equipment

The puller kept slipping off the pulley when attempting to remove it. I remembered I had a puller from a previous job and after searching I found it and immediately removed the pulley. Very poor fit, glad I remembered I had another one or went to the auto parts store!

Poor quality and design

If it were possible I would give zero stars! Cheap construction, some screws bent when opened. An attempt was made to pull the PS pulley out, but the tolerances and poor casting caused the clamps to slip and damage the pulley. I do not recommend! Bought an OTC-4681 remover installer from Summit Racing and it worked flawlessly.

Ultra Light Tool Fits Pulley Tools

10 year auto technician here, bought this and couldn't get the job done on the Cherokee Jeep with this tool the first time, no instructions, small bolt heads, bearings suck. Under strong pull I do not recommend this tool. Had problems with the remover AND the installer, went and got the Napa kit and everything was done in wasted hours because of this tool

Throw away the tool.: Motor tools

This is a pretty simple tool. However, he barely caught the power steering pulley, which initially kept slipping. I thought I made a silly move and put the collar back on, but no, it's only one way. The snap ring is missing and barely holds. As it continued to slip off the pulley, it began to force the tool's strings to cross the strings. This means that it is a one-time tool. Save your money and get something better.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Not sure

Ready to use

Thought it was a good deal. But when I opened the box, I clearly saw that one of the bots was bent. I put the bolt on the table and twisted it, it was definitely bent. Brand new never used. I also took another bolt and screwed a nut on it and it tightened. I wasn't sure if that would cross the thread or not. I took a wrench and carefully tightened it, and the threads are poorly finished. Sent it back, haven't had a chance to use it. Would not buy this product or brand again.

  • Ease of use

Buy a good kit from an auto parts store.

Lesson learned while trying to save some money. I removed the pulley from the pump but ended up barely starting to turn. Pulley installation is a different story. The end of the setting tool broke off in the pulley shaft and I couldn't get the sheared bolt out of the shaft. Now I have a 2/3 turned pulley with a broken bolt on the shaft that won't come out. I had to buy a decent kit from my auto parts store as I had no hope of ruining the new pump with this kit. I clamped the pump in a vise with
