Great little case, no issues with screws or fitment.

Although other reviewers have complained about the unusually small screws and tight fit of the chrome ends, I've had no problems. All the parts fit perfectly, and the first "small" Phillips screwdriver I got my hands on (the ubiquitous Phillips/flat-end giveaway with a shirt pocket clip) fitted perfectly. My 750GB Seagate hard drive fits in without wasting space and is probably one of the thickest 2.5" consumer hard drives available in mid-2012. Thinner drives may need some form of spacer toโ€ฆ

beautiful and stable SATA case, but a bit expensive

OUTLOOK: The case is made of high quality materials. Looks stylish and rich. The black part is made of matte aluminum, so it's easy to get dirty. Somewhat disappointingly, the top and bottom are made of plastic and covered in chrome paint (to give it a metallic look). ISIDE: There's a sponge in there. It keeps the hard drive in one place. There are two screws on the top cover that can be easily removed with any screwdriver (they are quite large). The hard drive is attached to the circuit boardโ€ฆ

It worked! - Hard Drive Accessories

My laptop hard drive died about two months ago. The operating system was in a loop, i.e. it kept rebooting thinking it was the last stage of update mode. I called Dell and told them about my problem. They said my hard drive was partially damaged. So I bought a new one and replaced the old one. Meanwhile, I was wondering how to get back my precious files that were on my old hard drive. I went to Best Buy thinking I could get my files back courtesy of the Geek Squad. However, it would have costโ€ฆ

Great looks, value and performance

I needed an external enclosure for a 500GB drive for my MacBook Pro. After researching various products and reviews, I chose Acomdata based on the price and cosmetics. The low price made me think I'd have to sacrifice performance or size, but when the case arrived it was slim and almost as thin as the drive itself. Two small screws isn't a problem if you have precision screwdrivers and are used to using them electronics to work. I've swapped drives in the case 4 or 5 times and never removed aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • weak

I need to store LOTS of data. Flash drives and SD cards are incredibly expensive, and an external hard drive can cost anywhere from $80 to $160 or more. I found the perfect solution. I go to eBay and buy a good used 500GB 2.5" SATA hard drive, grab one of those $7 external hard drives (at the time of my purchase) and I have a 500GB external hard drive for less than 20 dollars! Not much can be said about these cases, loosen the two mini-Phillips screws, slide the hard disk into the slot, slideโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Insecure

Nothing beats this one in Computers & Accessories

Included in the box was a Comdata 2.5" SATA Hard Drive Enclosure, a USB cable (two USB ports combined into one mini USB connection) and instructions. The case had an aluminum coating, two metal plates, a blue LED backlight and a mini USB port. At first it was not possible to open it because I had damaged the screw so badly that there were no burrs left. Using my dad's tool kit, I found the right screwdriver and popped open the other side (you can open both sides to insert a laptop hard driveโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Upgradeable

WORKS GREAT NOW! (doesn't work.)

Below is my original review. Apparently the PlayStation partitions the entire drive into partitions and when you plug any PS3 drive into the PC it doesn't show up because it's fully partitioned and technically there is NO drive read by your Windows or Mac formats can. Quick and easy solution! Go to "Control Panel" and open "Administrative Tools". From here, open the Computer Management shortcut and once it opens look for Disk Management under Storage on the left. Click "Disk Managementโ€ and you

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
