I was a bit taken aback when I saw the jet black gel in the jar but trust me it will whiten your teeth! Don't be afraid to use it every time you clean - and remember, a little goes a long way. Most needed is a pea-sized spoon on a toothbrush. I picked up some gel with my fingertip and applied it to the brush, but you can also use the brush by dipping it in the jar. Strong Clove Aroma/Flavor

Toothpastes with charcoal have always fascinated me. This is the first one I've tried. When I first used it I absolutely hated it. But I wanted to be honest, so I kept using toothpaste. Toothpaste is a really thick paste. I dip my dry brush and rub it in before adding water. I prefer a tube that can be squeezed out, but this tube is fine. Fancy product suitable for toothpaste

I thought I would try something different and maybe a better bleach for a coffee drinker like me. Well I was right, it's different! As shown, it is black in color and has a thick paste/gel consistency. The only way I've found to apply it to the brush is to scoop some from the jar onto a dry brush and then dampen slightly before brushing. It has an unusual taste but is not unpleasant or strong. What I probably like least is that it doesn't foam at all and doesn't foam up like regular toothpaste,

Wanted to love - no. Big effort though!

So I wanted to love this. I've always read about charcoal toothpastes and over time I've had a lot of problems (literally): irritated gums, overactive tartar and teeth mysteriously chipping. This product sounded so good. This jar was a little scary to open - no glue, no gel, no paste, just like thickened glue stained with tar. OK.
