Miscut for generators and portable power supplies

All main parts are cut the same but require left and right sides for installation. In one case a ledge is formed which can cut into the roof of the van. This is due to the large difference from the last mounting hole to the butt. I use it on the ground so I don't really care but I know I can't put it on an RV. My panel requires the entire length. If I had a smaller panel I could just crop it. Photos of assembly details leave a lot to be desired. The quality of the aluminum shaft is very goodโ€ฆ

Durable, simple product!

This is a solid product that feels well thought out. It's very lightweight and actually quite customizable by the end user. I use it as a portable mount for the Renogy 50 watt panel kit. I take it with me on our long trailer rides, strap it to the trunk of my pickup truck while driving, and then put it on the ground when camping. Given my usage, I had to change it up a bit; File the sharp corners so they don't cut into my padded decklid and drill 4 additional holes along the base rails for theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • High Price

I bought two of these kits for two 100w portable solar panels to keep our RV batteries charged when not connected to the network. hike. Love the fact that the rails can remain attached to the solar panels for storage so only the tilt adjustment brackets can be attached for installation. I can quickly install the panels next to my trailer in a sunny spot and tilt them towards the sun for more power. Because these mounts attach with knurled knobs and wing nuts, assembly is very quick and requires

  • Ideal for a small home

  • Big and bulky

Poor workmanship

To make this work you would need to grind down an edge so it doesn't hit the van roof or drill more holes when lifting. Since all 4 rails are made the same, you can't mount them the same on both sides either, one will be shorter than the other because more holes had to be drilled in them. The seller needs to assemble it and see for yourself. The seller was so nice and agreed to send it back but I have to pay shipping because they think I just don't know how to assemble it, shipping is almostโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Hard to tell

They would work straight away. The answer is yes. But,,,, as a journeyman handyman who is about to retire, I may not be the person asking to write a review on these slanted braces. One would expect them to be easily installed by an average person with average skill. to not cut yourself with burrs (razor sharp edges from machining) and to have a nice lined appearance when finished. That's not the case. I had to remove burrs and sharp edges from the ends of the staple stock. The holes and slotsโ€ฆ

Overpriced, hardware not rustproof, very strong for my panel

What it is: Solar panel mounting system. Why I love it: I used this set of mounting brackets to mount a 50w all-in-one. Crystal plaque on my barn wall. The brackets are certainly strong enough and the holes in them line up perfectly with the holes in my panel. Others have complained that the clamps are very sharp. This is typical of machined parts and can easily be removed with a Dremel with a drum sander attachment or file. It took about 10 minutes to deburr the ends of all 6 struts. What Iโ€ฆ

strong and durable for generators and portable power supplies

1. All parts fit and the kit was complete.2. As long as the panels are held in place I wouldn't assume these frames have risen to the 'sturdy' level. I *really* trust them to get the job done, but wish they would hold the panels in place more firmly/more securely/more securely.3. Bolts and nuts in particular seem to be fairly soft metals and I will probably have to tighten them frequently until they fail over time and then I will replace them with stronger stainless steel/grade 8 bolts andโ€ฆ

Thick aluminum with many mounting options.

They would get five stars if they had a more convenient tilting method. Fumbling around on the roof with washers and thumbscrews is no fun at all. I'm going to retrofit mine with dowel pins on the corners. The aluminum is thick-walled and the drill holes are well finished, you won't cut yourself. There are enough holes and slots to allow you to make any tilt/mount combination imaginable. The hardware/thumbscrews are not stainless steel so expect them to rust after a while. If I replace the twoโ€ฆ
