There was an issue with the windows; the seals and the mechanism for clamping them were replaced; as a result, dry air from the street was prevented from entering the flat; and finally, the humidifier was able to perform its function to the fullest extent possible. I was able to bring the humidity up to 67% (with the room door closed), therefore I changed the rating to a 4: the built-in sensor still indicates an underestimated amount of 40%, despite the fact that the flat is foggy.

Notwithstanding this, a white coating was discovered on many objects within the room.
