These cowhide gloves offer protection against bites from birds and small animals. Mine are red with a black border. One size should fit most. They go beyond the wrist. I would have preferred an elbow length but they offer adequate protection. Build quality is decent but not impressive. However, they are strong enough. I work with rescued pet birds that are prone to nocturnal sleep. They protect me by helping them.
