This order included a rigid plastic tube that slips onto a wooden stick - like a powerful coffee stirrer. A nice addition to be able to apply more pressure when cleaning hard-to-reach places.

I restore radios and these swabs end up in hard to reach places to clean. I wish they were a little stronger though. Buying in bulk at a good price is a plus and makes up for the negatives.

Bought to clean hard-to-reach places on motorcycles. Sticks tend to break very easily about 1/3 of the way from the tip. The cotton is fine, although if you twist it too hard it will come loose and need to be pulled out with another dab of tweezers. The good thing is that they don't shed and don't shed a lot of cotton fibers. I wouldn't buy it again but for now they do the job with very gentle pressure and acetone/petroleum spirits.

These cotton swabs are fine. They are nice and long and have enough cotton at the end. However, the wooden stick is not very strong and will break under heavy use.

I used them at my workbench all the time while building my RC airplanes. Great for cleaning, nice long reach and the head stays intact, doesn't stick out or come off too easily. I use them for applying glue, fabric glue, touching up paint (works well, better than cleaning up with a brush. Just throw it away when you're done). And once in a while they really help when my ear is itchy or I want to catch earwax.
