Description of ๐Ÿ“ท Arducam Jetson IMX477 Raspberry Compute: High-Quality Imaging Solution for Jetson Nano

A Can't-Miss Update to IMX219 - Much better picture quality and lens flexibility, thanks to 53% more pixels, 92% larger pixel size, 192% larger imaging area, and a CS-Mount. Maximum still resolution at 4056 ร— 3040, frame rates: 30fps@Full 12.3MP, 60fps@1080P. Accelerated by Jetson Hardware ISP Engine - Support NVIDIA Argus Camera plugin for H264 encoding, JPEG snapshots, as well as gain, exposure, framerate, and group, hold control. Only a driver away from Plug-and-Play - The HQ camera module requires hardware modification before installing the Jetson IMX477 driver, which could bring potential damage and void the warranty. Ours donโ€™t.

Non-Raspberry products No Jetson developer support at all

is not available for any Pi product, no access code on Get Hub and Jetson requires a board change which I had not intended for obvious return reasons

Pros
  • Jetson hardware ISP engine acceleration - NVIDIA Argus camera plugin support for H264 encoding, JPEG snapshots and gain, exposure, frame rate and group -Hold control.
Cons
  • Update

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Difficult to work with

1920x1080@60fps mode does not work on some Jetson models, but 4032x3040@30fps mode does. did a little tinkering with the Chinese to find out. Also, I can't find any code examples or instructions how to do this with opencv (non-trivial task).

Pros
  • Non-Plug and Play Drivers Only - The HQ camera module requires a hardware modification prior to installing the Jetson IMX477 driver, leading to potential damage and voiding your warranty. Ours are not.
Cons
  • Expensive

Works best in single board computers

Paired with Jetson Xavier and NVMe SSD and after installing the correct driver I was able to record h.265 4k30p videos at very high bitrates :)

Pros
  • IMX219 update not to be missed. Much better image quality and lens flexibility with 53% more pixels, 92% more pixel size, 192% more image area and CS mount. . Maximum photo resolution at 4056 x 3040, frame rate: 30 fps at 12.3 MP full resolution, 60 fps at 1080p.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
