The glue is very sticky and strong. The straps worked great and my toddler couldn't untie them. The straps are adjustable in length, which allows them to be used on cabinets and refrigerator doors that are not a flat surface. However, the short locks did not work. I put it on my closet and my toddler broke it by pulling on the door. Didn't even last a day. Use strap locks, but avoid short locks.

I have used several locks of both types before and they are almost the same as the others. The lift latch requires a mounting width of approximately 3.5 inches and is strong enough when properly aligned. The strap does not slip off easily and its length can be adjusted up to 4 inches in total. The strap can be pulled up and is fairly easy to remove from the clasp at the back, so you'll need to cut it off once it's in place.

These child safety locks are quite easy to use and install. It took me a minute to figure out how to adjust and secure the waist belt, but once I figured it out it was easy to set up. This is a set of two different types of child safety locks. There is a longer lock suitable for things like a toilet, bin, fridge, etc. The smaller locks are specially designed for cabinets. Warning, if your child is over 14 months old, they will probably figure out this blockage fairly quickly.
