The bookcase looks great in my new home office. Assembly was pretty easy, but installing the shelves would have taken ages if I didn't have a drill.

The shelf was good. Continuous. The supplied screwdriver for children sucks! He broke at the 1st screw! It was interesting to assemble as I didn't have another short screwdriver.

Good product. If you are looking for other furniture from this company (table, filing cabinet, etc.), be sure to order the same shelving material. We were sent a shelf described as the same but the shelves were made of a different material (cheap, ugly). They've been replaced - thanks to Revain.

Decent quality for such a price. The instructions were a bit complicated. My biggest problem was screwing up the shelves. The amount of force and pressure required to turn the screws is a bit insane. It's durable, of course, but just by placing two shelves, I realized I'd have to put ice on my hands afterward. And unfortunately it is too narrow for a standard drill.

This was the easiest bookcase/shelf to assemble. The hardest part is attaching the X-bars to the back. It took most of the time to screw the shelves together. I couldn't use my angled electric screwdriver because it didn't fit the gap and I almost completely ripped the screw off. Besides, I love it. It holds all my books, looks great in my living room, very slightly east facing.

I don't think $90 is that expensive per se, but this shelf seems very cheap. The wood seems decent, but it's uneven, making assembly difficult as the tension at each corner works against each other. Metal, the quality does not appear robust or stable. and the plastic clasp that holds everything together is wobbly and frustrating. But hey shelves, so yes. At least I have shelves now.

I ended up using a drill press on this bookshelf. Screwdriver? No thank you. Not only that, but either way, with or without a screwdriver or drill, the wood will break on the other side. Doesn't show up so I guess it doesn't matter, but it's a little annoying. I may have gotten it wrong, but if you can't get anywhere with a regular screwdriver, that's a lot of work. Happy to have my trusty DeWalt :) In the end it looks great and I'm very happy with my purchase!

I like this shelf, it's the right color - light oak and blank. It's durable and was very easy to assemble. I just wish I had paid more attention to the size/dimensions when ordering as it is smaller than I thought it would be. Otherwise a great shelf, but I can order a second one for more storage. Also, I ordered an L shaped desk that fits and now I love my home office! They fit perfectly and I am very happy with both purchases!
