Replace your old stamped sheet metal factory alternator bracket with this American made billet aluminum bracket. Dress up the front of your engine, and keep your v-belt tight with the integrated turnbuckle tensioner. This bracket kit will come with a satin finish and include all necessary bolts and hardware to mount your alternator, as well as the turnbuckle tensioner. Made in the USA from aerospace grade billet aluminum. Designed for V-belt systems only, using Chevy alternators with 6.56 inch, center to center bolt holes (12si style alternators). This alternator bracket will use a 44" V-belt, when using factory OEM size pulleys.

It's really close to a great product

I think I have a different alternator but the one in the shop didn't fit either. The bottom bracket worked very well. So I had to modify another top bracket to make it work.

Okay, not as good as it could be.

The spacer that the 5/16 bolt goes through as a 3/8 hole provides a loose fit for a 1" bolt and needs to be at least 1.25". be big in waist tension. Yes, little things, but that's the difference between a good part and a great part. It's just a good part.

Need more spacers in the kit.

This is a beautiful thing, after a little polishing it became a mirror. I had to make my own spacers to line it up properly and I also had to get a smaller belt. If you have a longer strap and need to lengthen the adjustable arm, it will flex under load. Besides, it's great

Good product on parts

Pretty good for the most part. The strap is too short. I had to cut it in half and add 2 inches to make it work. I had old chrome clasps with stick old. Belt. I think the most interesting thing about working with the aftermarket is setting it up to make it work properly. Although it's easy to fix.

Depends on your needs.

I ended up using only part of the lanyard for this mount as I could have kept the rest. If I knew that, I would just go to the tractor and buy myself a turnbuckle. One that is easier to turn with a wrench. This is slightly rounded, you need a vise to turn it. However, the lower part looks high-quality.

Top screw on turnbuckle too short

Good thing the bracket itself looks nice and strong. Spacers and bottom screws are excellent. The clutch/pull mechanism is a bit cheap, the top twist buckle bolt only grabbed 3 strands of my alternator and ended up ripping my alternator off. I fixed it and used a longer screw. To put it mildly, it's annoying. Just grab this kit and buy a longer top screw before installing and you'll save yourself a headache.

I had to buy a longer screw.

Fits well and fairly easy to install. The reason for removing the 2 stars is that the bolt for the top of the turnbuckle (the bolt that goes into the back of the alternator top eyelet) is about 1/2 inch shorter so it's only about 2-3 threads cuts and becomes easy to pull off when you try to tighten them. I had to make an extra trip to the hardware store to buy a longer screw. That annoyed me, especially since this kit should contain all the necessary parts. Also, the kit is great and works well

I do not know who developed this product, but the installation is not good. The 2 bolts that go to the water pump are too long. The screws went down and the bracket still had play, tried to remove it and the last thread was damaged (thankfully the metal is stronger than the screw and no damage occurred). I ended up using the bolts I used to attach the bearing bracket to the motor. The long screw is too long, had to add a washer to make it fit. The workmanship left a LOT to be desired. end upโ€ฆ
