Great Straws, the best of paper and plastic

My wife and I ate at a diner in Bluffton, South Carolina that used these straws. We both hate paper straws and wanted to replace them with plastic ones at home. We asked the waitress what the straws were and she told us. We ordered them on the spot and they were waiting for us when we got home. Excellent mouthfeel, taste, strength and appearance.

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

The best biodegradable alternative to plastic straws!

Bought for a party and I love it! I've tried most alternative straws. Paper and others get wet, and metal is unsanitary. This is by far the best alternative to plastic straws I've tried. This straw doesn't get wet and feels very similar to a regular straw. Will definitely buy again!

Goodbye plastic! Best in Disposable Drinkware

This is the perfect replacement for plastic straws without sacrificing the qualities that people love in plastic straws. They will NOT break in your glass/cup (at least not after a week) like paper straws. And best of all: THEY ARE NOT PLASTIC! They must be tougher than plastic, and I'm only saying that because my fiancé still prefers chewing on those nasty plastics to this one. This is another habit that we will discuss later.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Makes Me Mad

Not biodegradable! - Household Items

Throwing a "green" plastic product in a landfill goes against the goal of producing and consuming biodegradable and compostable plastics in the first place. A lot of people think, well, at least it will break eventually. But in fact, no, most likely it will not break. These specialty plastics require air, moisture and sunlight to properly decompose, and unfortunately landfills tend to bury waste and deprive them of these essential elements.

Pros
  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • Waiting Too Long

IT IS BIODEGRADABLE TO THIS ACID COMMENT

They are perfect. I hate paper straws so much because they get soggy and taste papery. POOH. It seems that the plastic has no taste and will not get wet for a long time! THE BEST on the market so far. For a review stating that it isn't biodegradable because acid doesn't break it down, LMAO does a little chemistry to see if GLASS is biodegradable and acid doesn't break it down. Straws don't dissolve in acid, that doesn't mean they aren't biodegradable! Did you know that alcohol attacks plastics,

Pros
  • Paper and plastic
Cons
  • Big and bulky

There is a solution but it can't be

You opened it and read other reviews, this seems to be a common problem. There are also concerns that they are not even biodegradable. They look plasticky, but have a brown, translucent appearance and dark brown spots that don't necessarily look good for what you're putting in your mouth. I'm going to try coconut straws, everything I've read sounds promising. If they don't work I come back and edit them, but other than that it's just what it takes. Definitely try metal straws if you haven't…

  • Homeware
