Honestly I can't say enough about these shoes. I originally bought them for kayaking and expected for the price I paid they will fall apart. However, I couldn't be more surprised. Not only were they perfect for kayaking, I even wore them for a bit while backpacking around Alaska last weekend. When they went on sale I fell in love with these sturdy yet elegant shoes. I tried them and they were also very light. I was satisfied nonetheless. When I finally put them on the beach, they got wet. The seam where the nylon meets the rubber on the toe has started to rub. As a result, a skin cut in several places. Doesn't make walking on the water/beach comfortable. I ended up having to walk barefoot for the rest of the trip. But apart from the cuts in the salt water, they were perfect.

These water shoes are the best! If you read reviews and understand that at 1/2 size you need to go down rather than up, you'll be happy with that. However, I still have some leeway. If I went down a little less they would be too tight. They have withstood white water abuse for 2 weeks!
