If you want something with good absorbency (e.g. for vacuuming up dog urine), you will be disappointed and with a faster top grip be better served. But my goal was to line the bottom of my bird cages with it on a daily basis for easier cleaning that doesn't require much absorption. I think it's better for the environment than highly absorbent disposable towels and less chemicals when my birds grind them up in their beaks. I think it would be enough for customers to dry their hands in a public…

Pros
  • also for old people
Cons
  • There are even more interesting possibilities

Worst paper towel experience I have ever had.

I was very excited about these and was looking for something that wouldn't weigh on my conscience like traditional paper towels, but it just dashed my hopes and dreams of a paperless world. When I received the package, I immediately noticed how fluffy the buns were and thought "damn," I could even say it out loud. Then I put one on my dispenser and tried to pry it off the adhesive to keep it from spreading and my goodness they don't seem to want you to use them at all! I had to rip the damn…

The responsible adult alternative

I have to remind you We should take all cloths and towels off Use 100% cotton and then wash every day or two. There is no excuse for not doing this. Paper towels are great for ugly slips and cleanups, deep cleaning in the kitchen, and soaking up grease. The "paper" in paper towels is definitely not from trees. Some of them do; but that would have been many years ago. Paper towels are made from recycled paper products that have been shredded, subjected to a difficult cleaning process, removing…

Good All-Purpose Paper Towel

First, if you're looking for something like Bounty or Brawny, go ahead. I've been using these paper towels for about 7 months now and I really like them. They're as good as Scott's paper towels, so sometimes, depending on the size of the mess, you need more than one bounty or brownie. It doesn't bother me personally. I love that they're made from bamboo, a renewable resource that grows a hell of a lot faster than trees. I draw miniature soldiers. They are AMAZING for cleaning my brushes. I…

Pros
  • Bamboo fibers are eco-friendly, biodegradable, dissolvable and compostable. Bamboo and cane are herbs that only take 3-4 months to regrow as opposed to trees that take up to 30 years to regrow.
Cons
  • Very Expensive

What does sustainability cost?

I ordered these towels because I'm trying to do my part to reduce my carbon footprint. While they do their job reasonably well, I found the rolls to be much thinner than most brands of paper towels. And the leaves are not split in half, which means I have to use the whole leaf even though I only need half of the leaf to work with. Obviously, more sheets equals more rolls; The more roles, the more money. I understand that bamboo grows much faster than trees. And the harvesting and production…
