Mirrors and parts are unlikely to fit

I used these mirrors as a bearing kit on a '71 Chevy C30. They didn't come close to the original in any way and ended up drilling new mounting holes in the door. The assembly instructions are brief at best, and the assembly diagram is so poor you can't make out the hardware required. The polished stainless steel looks good, but is "cheap Chinese" due to the multi-hole flat top link. The mirror head is chrome plated plastic but actually looks decent. After tightening the knot to the point where…

Economical plastic mirror head

Image does not match product; The mirror head pictured looks like stainless steel but is different from the one supplied. I should have read the full description. The description states very precisely that the head is made of plastic. The mirror wasn't stable at highway speeds so I tightened the mounting nut. The mirror head bracket broke when I tightened the nut. The mirror head is now damaged to the point of being unusable and must be discarded. Spend a little more money (not much more) and a

Get what you pay for.

Mounting frame is ok. Low profile and fairly durable. Mirror is nonsense. The problem is that the mirror's plastic frame isn't rigid enough to keep it from vibrating violently at speeds over 40 mph. I replaced the mirrors with the steel mirrors I had. My advice: spend your extra money and buy a set of steel mirrors. "Stainless steel" - no. The mounting frame is chrome-plated. Mounting screws and fasteners are poorly zinc plated and NOT stainless steel. The threaded inserts in the curved element

Large, tall, lightweight plastic mirrors

Added to my van so I can see down. Placing them at a 90 degree angle from the image shown as a top view worked well. It reminded me of the 1970's mirrors you would see on pickup trucks. It's mostly all plastic, not medium sized, but it's lightweight and obscures the view around my RV. I'd probably opt for concave mirrors if I had to do it again, which gives a much larger field of view and makes it easier to see the blind spots you need. Seeing the camper blind spot from the driver's seat is a…
