Good KVM Switch for VGA Monitors

I have very few complaints about this KVM Switch. Sometimes it doesn't find the mouse and keyboard automatically, but 97% of the time, it detects the keyboard and mouse very quickly. If the other system still reboots, it's best to wait for it to finish. The restart is sufficient for the operating system to recognize that the KVM switch is active. It recognizes the keyboard and mouse much faster than my docking station at work when I first plug in my laptop and wake it from sleep. I used to…

Outstanding KVM, Best in Computers & Accessories

ConnectPro is a 3-port USB video switcher hub/switcher. I use it to connect my mouse, keyboard, printer and monitor to my laptop or desktop at home. WIN XP is running on both computers. I have used many different KVMs at work. ConnectPro is the best I've used. Management is as easy as possible. Click Select and change computers. There are keyboard keys to remember (why does every KVM have a different key combination to change the selection?). User feedback is also excellent. "Non-OSD" means…

Works well but difficult to set up

First of all this KVM is very well made, with high quality video and USB cable. The case is actually made of metal and looks very solid. Once plugged in and working, it works very well. This KVM is actually a USB hub; The "switch" part is simply moving the computer connection from one machine to another. The good news is that you can connect any USB keyboard and mouse and all of their functions will work. I use Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro, Intellimouse Explorer and Contour Designs Shuttle…

ConnectPro UR-12 Kit 2-Port USB KVM Switch

No problem with this keyboard and mouse switch. I'm NOT using the video part of the switcher (I'm using the HDMI inputs on a 37" TV as a monitor - the video is fantastic in this case because it always stays digital instead of being converted to analog and back to digital like the usual The Downside is you need to press 2 buttons to switch computers: KVM switch AND monitor remote [worth it!]). Motherboard MSI 975X Platinum PowerUp Edition (Win XP). Works well with both. Slight switching delay…

Well built KVM switch

This KVM switch has a very solid construction - metal body, high quality cables and push button switch (button switch is better than soft switch in my opinion). Due to its weight, it is not pulled by cables. It's powered via USB connections, but it's also self-powered, which is nice. It also has an additional USB port that you can use to share another USB device like a webcam or USB microphone. What's really nice is that I actually connect this USB port to my Dell monitor using a built in USB…

Can't get any better for external components

Like others I've searched extensively and even tried a cheaper model (Belkin) but couldn't get it to work. I found this one on Revain with all the good reviews and thought I'd give it a try. I am very happy with it. I'm switching between a Sony Vaio desktop and a Dell laptop (both running Windows XP). Works flawlessly. I'm using a Microsoft Wireless Comfort keyboard and mouse. As others have said, just make sure your keyboard and mouse work on both computers. Installation is simple and easy. I…

Okay: I then added it to my setup.

I bought this so my wife can use either her new computer when I built it or her old computer. After the software problems were fixed, she switched exclusively to the new PC. Good: I then added it to my laptop and desktop setup. Since it's VGA only, I only used it for my second display when using my monitors, not my laptop's screen. I used to travel with my laptop when I originally did this. Since ACER and now ASUS don't make device-specific docking stations, this was a cheap workaround. My…
