This came in handy for clearing OBD2 code p2647 on a 2005 Honda Odyssey so something is wrong with this unit. Sometimes replacing the gasket helps eliminate the code and fix oil leaks, but in my case, replacing the part was the right decision.

This product stinks. I put a brand new one out of the box on my car and the car died. Wouldn't even move. So I put my old one back in and got the switch at the junkyard and boom, the car is like new. My dad is a mechanic and says be careful with some of these parts. This part is brand new and costs over $200. thank you god bless

I ordered one of these used and a new one, both stopped working within 20 miles, I cleaned the old one, took the one I ordered off and it came out with a bunch of aluminum particles. I decided to swap out the oil and filter for a good quality 5w 20 synthetic oil before putting the old valve back on. After that it works perfectly so I don't know if the problem was cleaning the valve or changing the oil.

I bought this valve in connection with a valve repair on my 2005 Odyssey. I did a test drive and reset the emissions monitor. After about a 15 mile ride with the V-Tec running fine, the VSA and Check Engine lights came on. The code came as Stuck Off. Reset the Honda DTC and it will come back as Stuck On. Tomorrow I'll take it off and test it on the stand. Old valve saved. I'll check to see if the valve is still defective. Very disappointed. Wish others would update their reviews to share long…

Bought because the engine light and VSA light came on, the car throttled to low revs and shook. The system reader has indicated a solenoid error. So I bought this one and after 2 weeks it stopped working, the car went back to low revs, the engine light came on and the VSA light came on. The mechanic said that the control valve on that part was not opening properly and not allowing oil to flow into the camshaft. You get what you pay for and I paid for it!
