Correct part, delivered quickly

Perfect part, easy replacement. I won't say it's an easy setup because you have to open the door and take some things off. This can be a problem for those who are not very mechanical. There are some good videos on You Tube on how to do this. I was able to do this with a flashlight after work one evening.

  • Direct replacement - This tailgate release switch is the same size and performance as the original equipment switch on certain vehicles

Removing the door panel and handle isn't the easiest thing 😏

Only two stars because you have to remove that inner door panel and outer handle which is a hard part and NOT a product malfunction. However, this switch seems hard/difficult to press BUT it works

The Dorman switch is much more difficult to activate than the AC Delco version

Had to return. Was the right product and fit, didn't work. Couldn't press hard enough to get him to flip the switch. Ordered the ac delco version, $7 cheaper and much easier to deal with. I was surprised, I've used a lot of Dorman products and they've usually been good.

Works but barely works (ultimately doesn't work at all)

Works but much more rigid than the button removed. I doubt my kids can activate it, but a good arm workout for adults! It might loosen a bit with use. Update (02/15/21): became completely unusable. Try as I might, I couldn't flip the switch and the trunk still wouldn't open. I removed and disassembled the switch. I had to bend a couple of metal fingers to make better contact when pushing down, and I also had to reassemble the tape because it was still too stiff when I snapped the case all the…
