Description of DSLRKIT Gigabit USB-C Active PoE Splitter 48V to 5V IEEE802.3af Power Over Ethernet for Raspberry Pi 4 4B

The POE splitter must be connected to the POE switch, POE midspan or 48V~52V POE injector for proper operation.

Very unreliable product for network products

unfortunately has to be rated badly. It's very finicky, as another reviewer pointed out, it occasionally disconnects and I have to tug on it a few times to get it working again, assuming something gets disconnected. I think you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • big and clumsy

Works great with Google WiFi and Aruba S2500

I got 3 of these devices to use with Google WiFi mesh nodes and they worked great! They each have a "link" light and what looks like an activity light, but it never blinks. My switch is Aruba S2500. It was a really good and inexpensive way to reduce cable clutter.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Works great with Raspberry Pi 4b

I received this part yesterday and hooked it up to my Raspberry Pi 4b running Raspbian Lite with Orchid Core. The cake loaded instantly and works great! This part is significantly cheaper than the PoE Pi Hat (which wouldn't fit in my case anyway). I will buy again if I need another one!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Works great, at least so far!

Mine popped my RPi4 right out of my pocket and no problems so far. My Edgeswitch turned it on automatically and shows a 1GB connection. I looked at a lot of POE cases and hats before seeing the Argon One and decided this is the route I want to go. However, this does not allow the use of POE. It's not as pretty, but a lot more versatile!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Works great with Rak V2 hotspot setup!

I have this to run POE with my Rak V2 miner. The splitter is compact and is connected according to the "plug and play” principle. The cable in front of the injector connects directly to the splitter, and from there the USB-C connects directly to the access point. Clean installation and ideal outdoor solution to install the access point closer to the antenna. So far everything works and there are no problems.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Suitable for

Couldn't work right out of the box.

It didn't really work and was sent back. 2 amps of current have been successfully drawn from the POE. However, the Ethernet connection was not interrupted. I've tested nine of these on a Raspberry Pi and one on the back of my (working) desktop computer with no success transmitting over ethernet, even with the 5V part disabled.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

Works great with OG Google WiFi Meshes

I can also confirm that it works with Original Google WiFi Meshes with no issues. In combination with a 4-port PoE switch, I reduced the number of pucks from 4 to 2. My parents built a house in the 60's so everything is secure including every door in the house. If you move one down the hall, PoE powered with this adapter, the speed in the living room jumped from around 100Mbps to over 500Mbps, only slightly slower than wired. I also plugged it into the main puck/router so it connects to the…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Nothing here
