Accurate, easy to use

Only recently have I discovered that there is something better than the old "push plastic rod out of metal cylinder" sensors. Wow! It actually gives you the same reading when you test the same tire repeatedly at less than 1psi. You have to be careful to push it all the way up against the valve stem and wait a second or you'll get a deceptively low reading. The device has enough light for you to find the valve stem and connect to it in dark environments.

Inaccurate, about 2 psi. Inch

I have already purchased this type of gauges. The problem in the past has been reliability. 1 out of 3 died after a few months, hardly used. It should replace one of them. They appear to be the same but it was about 2lbs less, the others appear to be totally accurate. I need to add 2 pounds to the reading. The last time I used it I didn't seem to get good readings on our bikes either for some reason, it only seemed to read a maximum of 30 when the tires felt very stiff. I'm not sure what's…

  • Hands-free operation

  • No instructions

Works great in tire and wheel tools

I bought this to replace the sensor I use on my bike tires. It was a pencil-like type with a hinged bar to indicate pressure. This digital model is much better and more accurate. I ended up using it on my car when the tire pressure light came on for the third time in three weeks. After a few seconds I could see that three tires that I inflated to last week were 30psi, but one tire was 25psi. I took the car to a tire shop and found that there was a nail in the tire. I love this sensor!

Easy to use, good for tire repair tools

I recently had a problem with a small leak in one of my car tires and needed a more accurate way of measuring PSI than an old hand tire gauge. I looked at several sensors and this one seemed the most beneficial to me. It worked right out of the box and provided an easy to read measurement. The only issue I had was that he was a little touchy and touchy. I could easily deflate my tire if I didn't place it properly on the valve, which I did the first time after using it. Eventually I took my car…

Pros
  • Great for me

  • Having trouble

Dead when I got there. Now I'm working and I'm impressed.

I open the box and pull out the sensor and expect luck. Instead, I kept a very intangible stone. When I pressed the power button, absolutely nothing happened. After reading the reviews I opened it up to check the batteries (and there are a lot of them). Checking the batteries, the sensor worked right away, but the button still didn't do anything. That's when I noticed a broken wire and nothing on a switch pin. A minute of soldering iron and everything was fixed. Just tried it on my tires. It's…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • It was possible to choose a newer model
