Excellent gloves. They fit both my small hand and my husband's large hand. They don't dangle in my hand at all, making it easy to take hot dishes out of the oven. I thought because they fit me so well they would be too tight for my husband but they are not. He's also happy with how they fit him.

They seemed large and bulky at first, but I was able to take my wife's casserole dish out of the oven without feeling the heat. He himself has not yet been burned by them, but his wife somehow managed to get burned. She's always been like this. Give her heat anywhere or a knife and she will burn or cut herself. So I have to do all the hard work out of the oven.

Many years ago we bought an Ov glove but I wanted to have another one. Buying them was cheaper than buying an oval glove. buy you! They work great: you can safely remove anything from the oven - cast iron, glass, etc. I've found they only work for a moment or two before you start to feel warm. When you pick up a frying pan, you won't want to keep it forever, but the sensation of heat is so compelling that you quickly put the hot thing down.

Bought a pair for my daughter and son in law for hot pans and outdoor grilling. She used to have different gloves, we both had them. Not sure if they were fake or not but the heat will go away after a while. These gloves are amazing! Better heat resistance and the fit is so good! The gloves are thicker and appear to be of much better quality than other companies we have used. Have used them for hot cast iron, grilling, regular use in the oven and they really are amazing. SO glad I found her!

This is my second pair. I love these things and actually bought this pair as a gift for my mom. She recently lost control of a pair of ordinary kitchen pot holders. Potholders are good except when you need to maneuver something heavy or large. These gloves give you the grip and dexterity to move a heavy cast iron Dutch Oven full of food in and out of the oven. I wouldn't say how long you can keep hot items in these gloves, but I will say they withstand the heat generated by my standard oven long enough to do whatever I need them to do.
